Please note, horse/pony must be 4 years old or older to compete in the jumping ring. Mares, geldings and stallions only. All members must have their hats secured by a chin strap for all jumping classes. A rider who's hat comes off must recover and replace it. He is not penalised for doing so other than by time. Jumping, or attempting to jump and obstacle in passing the finishing line without a hat incurs elimination unless the judge decides that the rider was so far committed to jumping the obstacle at the moment the hat came off that he could not be expected to pull up before attempting the next fence.

This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse and Pony Society (UK). (Affiliation numbers
June 18142 & August 19012). Both the owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. However in order to qualify both owner and rider/exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid qualifying card IN THE RING for signing by the judge. Members to apply to CHAPS (UK) for the appropriate qualifier card.

The CHAPS (UK) Championship show will be held on 31st August - 2nd September 2018. Shows held on or after the date of the Championship with count as 2019 qualifiers.

All stallions, 4 years old and over entering these classes must be gelded with CHAPS (UK). All stallions must wear Stallion ID Discs in the ring without exception.
